Norfolk Public Schools – H. Olive Day Elementary School, Norfolk, Massachusetts.

Starting Date: Aug 26, 2026

Position: Paraprofessional: K-2 Math Support (Math Interventionist)

The goal of the Math Support Paraprofessional is to improve outcomes for students by teaching small group lessons and monitoring progress in collaboration with the math specialists.

Essential Job Functions
  • Under the direction of a Math Specialist, provide instruction and intervention services to small groups of students and monitor their progress.
  • Collaborate with math specialists and classroom teachers to develop student support schedules.
  • Adapt math interventions based on individual student learning needs.
  • Maintain records of interventions and track student progress.
  • Provide feedback and data to teachers and the math specialist to support report card and progress reports.
  • Assist with assessments and collaborate with math specialists to analyze student data.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned by the Principal.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in working with elementary students preferred.
  • Passion for engaging students in math learning.
  • Knowledge of growth mindset and ability to motivate students.
Salary and Position Type

Salary:
Per NTA Collective Bargaining Agreement “Paraprofessionals” (Step 2 to Step
6).

Step 2 HQ Aide = $21.41 or Step 2 B15 = $27.06.
Step 6 HQ Aide = $25.88 or Step 6 B15 = $30.90.

Position Type: Full-time.
Salary range: $21 to $30 Per Hour.

Job Requirements
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
