We are seeking an experienced Senior Vice President of Finance who can grow into a CFO role in a few years. This role will lead and strengthen our financial operations. This strategic role is critical to ensuring long‑term financial health and stability of the organization. The SVP will develop and implement financial strategies, manage risk, and oversee all financial functions, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, and compliance.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned financial leader with comprehensive expertise in fiscal management, accounting principles, banking and investments, and commercial financial systems. This person will be a confident decision‑maker and collaborator, capable of driving financial performance, safeguarding assets, is still hands on where needed, and supports sustainable growth. This position requires full‑time, in‑office attendance and is not eligible for remote work.
Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership & Strategy- Lead all accounting and financial management activities.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting, forecasting, planning, and budgeting systems.
- Partner with senior leadership to align financial strategy with organizational goals.
- Perform and oversee general ledger maintenance and the preparation of monthly management financials with detailed analysis.
- Manage periodic reporting and ensure timely legal and bank filings.
- Supervise sales tax filings and certain state and federal tax filings for affiliated companies.
- Perform cash flow analysis to support liquidity and operational planning.
- Ensure proper internal controls, accounting policies, and compliance with laws and company standards.
- Oversee insurance reviews, audits, and workers’ compensation audits.
- Supervise accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including weekly vendor payments and corporate invoicing.
- Oversee payroll operations.
- Lead financial systems implementations, upgrades, and optimizations.
- Coordinate with external firms for annual reviews and other financial engagements.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and retain top accounting and finance talent.
- Provide direction and support to the finance team.
- Perform additional tasks and special projects as needed to support the company’s financial goals.
- May oversee other administrative functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CFA preferred).
- Strong working knowledge of GAAP.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior financial leadership role.
- Must be very detail oriented and able to check and audit daily financial work.
- Proven ability to lead financial strategy, systems, and teams.
- Strong analytical skills and business judgment.
