A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time position offers a chance to provide meaningful support to students, families, and staff across an educational district near Norfolk, NE. As a vital member of a collaborative team, you will contribute to both individual student progress and broader special education initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations and assessments for students.
- Determine eligibility for special education services and generate data‑driven recommendations.
- Participate actively as a member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT).
- Facilitate IEP development through thorough interpretation of assessment data.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of behavioral and learning intervention programs.
- Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and support staff regarding student needs and interventions.
- Offer insight and guidance on learning styles, academic challenges, and behavioral concerns.
- Engage with external agencies, medical providers, and parent organizations as needed.
- Help create and enact crisis intervention programs district-wide.
- Provide individualized support, ongoing training, and consultation to students, families, and staff.
- Uphold compliance with all state and federal special education regulations.
- Participate in professional development activities and maintain continuous professional growth.
- Attend relevant meetings and undertake additional assignments as designated by district leadership.
- Master’s, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology.
- Valid Nebraska Special Services Certificate or eligibility to obtain.
- Nebraska School Psychology Endorsement or ability to obtain via reciprocity.
- Deep understanding of IDEA, special education eligibility requirements, and IEP processes.
- Demonstrated experience with psycho educational evaluations and professional report writing.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and diverse stakeholders.
