This full-time position offers the chance to make meaningful contributions across a district-wide setting, supporting students, families, educators, and administrators to foster positive educational outcomes. Your expertise as a School Psychologist will be pivotal in ensuring students behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs are met through comprehensive evaluations and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough psycho educational assessments to determine special education eligibility
- Participate as a vital member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
- Interpret assessment data and provide recommendations for Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Assist in designing behavioral intervention and academic support programs
- Consult regularly with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff
- Offer guidance on learning styles, academic performance, and behavioral concerns
- Collaborate with outside agencies and parent support organizations
- Support crisis intervention initiatives within the district
- Deliver training and consultation to students, families, and staff
- Ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements
- Demonstrate ongoing professional growth by attending trainings and professional development sessions
- Carry out other duties as assigned by district leadership
Desired
Qualifications:
- Masters, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
- Eligible for, or possession of, a valid Nebraska Special Services Certificate
- Nebraska School Psychology Endorsement, or ability to obtain via reciprocity
- Comprehensive knowledge of IDEA, special education processes, and IEP development
- Skilled in conducting psycho educational evaluations and preparing reports
- Excellent communication skills and adept at teamwork within interdisciplinary settings
