Take the next step in your school psychology career with an exciting contract opportunity for the 2026/2027 academic year. This full-time position offers the chance to make meaningful contributions across a district-wide setting, supporting students, families, educators, and administrators to foster positive educational outcomes. Your expertise as a School Psychologist will be pivotal in ensuring students behavioral, academic, and social-emotional needs are met through comprehensive evaluations and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform thorough psycho educational assessments to determine special education eligibility
  • Participate as a vital member of the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT)
  • Interpret assessment data and provide recommendations for Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
  • Assist in designing behavioral intervention and academic support programs
  • Consult regularly with teachers, parents, administrators, and support staff
  • Offer guidance on learning styles, academic performance, and behavioral concerns
  • Collaborate with outside agencies and parent support organizations
  • Support crisis intervention initiatives within the district
  • Deliver training and consultation to students, families, and staff
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education requirements
  • Demonstrate ongoing professional growth by attending trainings and professional development sessions
  • Carry out other duties as assigned by district leadership

Desired

Qualifications:

  • Masters, Educational Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology
  • Eligible for, or possession of, a valid Nebraska Special Services Certificate
  • Nebraska School Psychology Endorsement, or ability to obtain via reciprocity
  • Comprehensive knowledge of IDEA, special education processes, and IEP development
  • Skilled in conducting psycho educational evaluations and preparing reports
  • Excellent communication skills and adept at teamwork within interdisciplinary settings
