Job Purpose &Position Overview
The Data Analyst will support the Home Visiting Program by collecting, analyzing, interpreting, and reporting data to inform program improvement, measure outcomes, and support compliance with funder and regulatory requirements. This role plays a critical part in helping ensure that families served receive high-quality, effective support based on evidence-informed decisions.
SpecificJob Duties /Responsibilities
- Demonstrates the Winnebago Tribe’s core mission, vision, and values.
- Demonstrates knowledge and/or expertise in early childhood and mental health
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with representatives from all community agencies that are impacted by the implementation of the grant.
- Collect, clean, and manage data from multiple sources, including electronic health records, home visitor reports, and family surveys.
- Develop dashboards and reports that track key performance indicators (KPIs), service delivery, and client outcomes.
- Analyze program data to assess program effectiveness and identify trends or areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with program staff to ensure accurate data entry and provide training as needed on data systems and best practices.
- Prepare reports for funders, tribal/state/federal agencies, and internal stakeholders.
- Assist with evaluation projects and research activities, including data extraction and visualization.
- Ensure data privacy and security protocols are followed in compliance with HIPAA and agency policies.
- Support quality improvement initiatives through data-informed decision-making.
- Work closely with IT and software vendors to troubleshoot and enhance data collection systems.
- Ensure compliance with the grant agreement, all applicable federal, state and other regulations listed in the grant award, and adhering to WCHS policies, and meet all grant deadlines
- Ensures the project produces the specified results outlined in the strategic plan to the required standard of quality and within the timeline and budget parameters.
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Statistics, Data Science, Social Work, or a related field.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and must be able to meet driver’s eligibility guidelines set forth by the Winnebago Tribe of Nebraska’s insurance carrier to become an insured driver.
- 2+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in a public health, early childhood, or social service setting.
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data analysis tools such as R, Python, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Experience working with home visiting models (e.g., Nurse‑Family Partnership, PAT, HFA) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain data to non‑technical audiences.
- Cultural competency and a strong commitment to working with diverse families and communities.
- Experience with data systems.
- Familiarity with Indigenous communities or experience working in tribal health or family services.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Must possess grammatical competence.
- Must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written skills, including strong organizational, detail and interpersonal skills.
- Able to maintain confidentiality.
- Local and national travel may be required.
- Ability to work independently, to work under supervision and to work in a team‑based and goal‑oriented environment.
- Demonstrated project management skills, including facility in managing and prioritizing projects with multiple and often competing deadlines, and ability to work under pressure.
- Must be able to pass pre‑employment drug screen.
- Pass a federal Background Check
- Develops partnerships that will increase use of evidence in public health practice.
