Dealership Janitor

Summary:

The Janitor aids in the first impression of the dealership. The Janitor will ensure that the showroom, customer lounges, and other service areas are clean and welcoming for our guests.

The dealership is open Monday – Friday 7:30am to 7:00pm. The Janitorial staff will have flexible hours and can expect to be scheduled for 32 hours a week, which may include nights.

• Be dependable and have the ability to work independently
• Cleans assigned areas daily.
• Sweep, mop, clean windows and display surfaces.
• Clean and sanitize all restrooms and fill all dispensers, soap, paper towel, toilet paper.
• Collect and empty trash daily.
• Vacuum all carpeted areas, high traffic areas, and any floor mats as needed.
• Damp mop hard-surfaces
• Spot clean doors and any pod glass areas to rid fingerprints.
• Sanitize all high touch points; door handles, light switches, chairs, shield protectors throughout the buildings.
• Wipe/sanitize kitchen area, counter, microwave (inside and out), and any other fixtures
• Monthly
  :
  Dust any high ledges, baseboards, ceiling vents, window blinds, and chairs.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age
• Prior experience in commercial and industrial cleaning.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend and climb when required
• Ability to lift and or move items up to 50 lbs
  .
• Ability to pass a criminal background and employment reference check.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is Regularly exposed to moving vehicles, and other moving mechanical parts, may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles;

may occasionally be exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and vibration if entering the service department; and frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and explosives. The noise level in the work environment may vary from low to moderate in the show room, to loud when in the service department.
