Purchasing​/Inventory

Salary Range: $21.00 to $23.00 hourly

The Purchasing Assistant keeps track of production, ingredients, finished products, packaging, and other means of production in preparation for monthly and annual audits.

• Conduct end of month counts of ingredients and packaging.
• Enter daily intercompany transfers as well as inbound receipts of ingredients and packaging into AS400.
• Recognize inconsistencies, check their own work, identify any anomalies, and communicate with the proper personnel to resolve them.
• Closing out monthly reports in support of financials. Document retention and retrieval for audits.

• Maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
• Must be willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and varying shifts.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

• Basic computer skills with experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with a ten-key calculator.
• Ability to work well with numbers.
• Possess the ability to work without direct supervision.

• Basic math and reading skills.
• Previous experience with data entry.
• Ability to work well with numbers.
• Ability to have good phone etiquette.

• Must be able to read and write English and perform basic math calculations.
• Effective time management skills to achieve results through prioritizing demands.
• Demonstrates critical thinking skills and effective decision-making skills.
• Strong attention‑to‑detail and organizational skills.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in essential tasks and a willingness to learn.

• (S) he will be required to sit and stand for long periods of time.
• Will be required to lift and move large amounts of paperwork (boxes of files).
• Will be required to stoop, bend, and reach above the head and below the knees to file and retrieve data.
