JOB SUMMARYThe MDS (Minimum Data Set) Coordinator is required to be knowledgeable of applicable laws and/or licensing regulations for healthcare facilities. This includes compiling information, preparing statistical reports and data from health records, and personalizing assessments for use in the evaluation of quality of care and utilization review for the purpose of clinical reimbursement. The MDS Coordinator confers with physicians, nurses, and other health personnel to ensure complete, current, and accurate medical records.
JOBRESPONSIBILITIES
- Current State of Iowa Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license, or an active Nurse Compact License (NCL)
- Complete all Minimum Data Sets (MDS) assessments and Care Area Assessment Summaries (CAAs)
- Participate in the facility quality of care and Leadership Team meetings
- Knowledgeable with Point Click Care (PCC) is preferred
- Will be part of the On Call nursing management team
- Must be capable of performing the Essential Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
