Surgical Assistant, Operating Room Nurse, RN Nurse
Position:
Full-Time Circulating Nurse in the Operating Room
Responsibilities:Serve as the RN Circulator for various surgical procedures, providing safe, high-quality perioperative care for patients across all ages. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists. Assist with procedures such as endoscopic, orthopedic, ophthalmology, ENT, OB/GYN, urology, GI, podiatry, and pediatric dental surgeries. Participate in pre-operative, intra-operative, post-operative, and PACU patient care. Share on-call duties, including weekends and holidays, and practice within industry standards and state regulations.
Qualifications and Skills:Current Nebraska RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred). Operating Room circulator experience is preferred, along with PACU and post-anesthesia recovery experience. Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, organization, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and adapt to changing patient and surgical needs.
Ideal candidate:Confident, adaptable, and collaborative RN with perioperative experience across a variety of surgical specialties in a rural healthcare setting.
