Responsible for operational support in the areas of institutional research and/or assessment including report writing, ad hoc reporting and report maintenance. Participate in meetings and work teams as needed relating to reporting functions that support client needs and aid in dissemination of information to support the College’s vision and mission.

Examples of Work Performed
  • Assist with daily reporting operation, including writing and running ad hoc reports, starting and stopping processes, maintaining and editing files and updating documentation.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of institutional reporting and assessment procedures.
  • Provide responsive effective communications with end users, IR staff and vendor partners. Transfer knowledge to departmental and campus functional positions as needed.
  • Provide support to functional areas for reporting and assessment processes.
  • Assist with internal department assessment to identify areas of operational strength, weakness, opportunities and threats. Report results with recommendations including timeline. Recommend changes to enhance IR support to improve customer service and process efficiency.
  • Research, test and assist with implementation of new reporting and assessment related tools as assigned.
  • Participate in IR related project teams to provide high performing campus reporting and assessment services and exceptional client services. Work collegially and collaboratively toward positive accurate project results with a customer service focus.
  • Assist with federal, state and accreditation reporting as needed.
  • Provide support to campus departments regarding reporting process data and validation.
  • Assist with writing and maintaining procedural documentation
  • Ensure adherence to IR, institutional and NSCS policies and procedures.
  • Required Qualifications
    • Experience with Microsoft Office (preferably excel)
    Preferred Qualifications
    • 1 year experience working with data
    • Experience with a coding language and data visualization tools to extract and manage data
    • Knowledge of assessment cycle and best practices
    • Experience working in higher education
    • Spreadsheet skills, ability to extract and manipulate data
