Overview
Position Summary:
Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates; tours stores and provides feedback. Communicates and collaborates with all levels regarding store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction. Leads change efforts, provides clear expectations, and implements business solutions while communicating business objectives to teams. Demonstrates exceptional customer service standards using the OBW service model and supports customer service initiatives, including store community outreach programs, ensuring customer needs are addressed and issues are resolved.
Drives the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses; ensuring merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes align with goals. Develops and implements action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit targets.
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates through hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing performance; sets clear expectations; fosters a belonging mindset; recruits and develops staff to meet staffing and growth needs.
Responsibilities- Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders and supporting plans to meet customer and business needs.
- Identify goals and objectives, build accountability, and measure progress toward results; identify improvement opportunities and promote continuous learning.
- Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates, including hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, recognizing performance, and promoting a belonging workplace.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and ethics; support Open Door Policy and provide guidance on applying policies in business processes.
- Respect the individual by building high-performing teams, embracing differences, and creating a culture of belonging where associates feel seen and supported.

- Manage and support customer service initiatives, including community outreach and resolving customer issues with effective action plans.
- Lead and manage store operations related to merchandising, inventory flow, and shrink control; ensure alignment with sales and profitability goals.
- Support and implement company initiatives, operating policies, and change management efforts across the store team.
- Minimum Qualifications
: 2 years’ college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience. - For facilities selling firearms: successful completion of a firearms-specific CBC and Firearms Authorized Training.
- For facilities selling only ammunition with state requirements: may require a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
- Associates must attend and complete all required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).
- Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5+ direct reports including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

The hourly wage range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46. Additional compensation may include regional pay zones, state pay differentials where applicable. This job posting does not guarantee employment and is subject to change.
