Job Summary

Security Professional – Armed Patrol Government Site. Part‑time security officer in Norfolk, VA, responsible for monitoring and patrolling a government facility to deter incidents and provide a reassuring presence.

• Conduct routine and random armed patrols around the government facility and its perimeter.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas for suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and communicate with site personnel.
• Maintain accurate records and logs of activities, incidents, and patrols per Allied Universal policies and client requirements.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency responders during incidents or emergencies.
• Assist visitors, employees, and contractors with access procedures, providing guidance as needed.
• Stay alert and prepared to respond to evolving security situations while upholding Allied Universal’s standards.

• Possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all applicable laws.
• Undergo a drug screen as permitted by law.
• Participate in industry‑specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws; may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Position Type:
Part Time. Pay Rate: $17.25 per hour.

Job Schedule:

Day shift:
Mon 07:00AM – 11:00AM;
Tue 06:00AM – 03:30PM.
