Position: Assistant to the President

The Assistant to the President provides strategic, high-level administrative support to the President of CMA CGM (America) LLC and up to two additional senior executives. This role is integral to ensuring the efficient operation of the executive office and requires exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, and the highest level of professionalism and discretion.

The Assistant manages complex scheduling and travel logistics, prepares executive communications and presentations, coordinates meetings and special events, and supports executive decision-making through reporting and analysis. Acting as a key liaison between executive leadership and internal and external stakeholders, this individual must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the President and up to two additional senior executives, with primary focus on the President.
  • Manage complex calendars, coordinate meetings, and prioritize competing demands to optimize executive time.
  • Arrange domestic and international travel, including itinerary preparation and expense reporting.
  • Serve as liaison between the President, senior leadership, external agencies, and industry partners.
  • Prepare executive correspondence, reports, presentations, and corporate communications materials.
  • Draft and distribute meeting agendas; record and distribute meeting minutes as required.
  • Conduct ad hoc reporting and analysis to support executive decision-making.
  • Organize and coordinate meetings, board sessions, and special events, including preparation of materials and presentations.
  • Support special projects and initiatives as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities with strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion, diplomacy, and tact.
  • Proactive self-starter with strong judgment; able to work independently while recognizing when alignment or clarification is needed.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional and articulate presence.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business needs require.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience supporting C-suite executives; experience supporting a President or CEO strongly preferred.
