Job Overview
The Person nel Assistant (Employment) III provides administrative support to the Military Administrative Office in support of military personnel administration activities. Responsibilities include processing military personnel actions, preparing administrative correspondence, supporting military awards programs, maintaining personnel records and tracking systems, and assisting with military personnel administrative processes.
Responsibilities- Process military personnel award recommendations and assist in developing certificates, plaques, and other award artifacts.
- Support presentation of military awards during formal and informal ceremonies.
- Assist military personnel with manpower and pay-related administrative processes.
- Process paperwork with the local Personnel Support Detachment (PSD).
- Assist with gaining, transferring, temporary duty (I‑stop), separating, and retiring military personnel.
- Assist with limited duty coordination, reservist administration, and manpower billet reviews.
- Assist with preparation of military evaluations, fitness reports, and advancement nominations.
- Prepare, edit, route, and maintain military administrative correspondence and records.
- Perform data entry, tracking, and reporting of personnel actions.
- Support administration and delivery of military indoctrination.

- Work is performed 100% on-site at a government facility in Norfolk, VA.
- Position requires interaction with military personnel, civilian staff, and administrative offices.
