Business Strategy & Planning Director (Chief of Staff to the President Carelon Pharmacy)

Hybrid 2:
This role requires associates to be in-office 3 days per week, fostering collaboration and connectivity, while providing flexibility to support productivity and work-life balance. This approach combines structured office engagement with the autonomy of virtual work, promoting a dynamic and adaptable workplace.

Alternate locations may be considered if candidates reside within a commuting distance from an office.

• Understands all aspects of the business and partners with executive leadership, including direct support of the President Carelon Rx Pharmacy to define strategy and successful criteria for the future.
• Monitors and synthesizes business performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities for leadership.
• Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects priorities, and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of enterprise strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.
• Supports leadership operating cadence (e.g. key meetings, decision forums) and helps ensure follow-through on priorities and commitments.
• Documents strategic priorities such as external environment and reports on customer insight research initiatives.
• Builds and leverages relationships across the organization to help solve complex business problems and drive cross-functional alignment.
• Proposes opportunities to improve results based on continuous needs assessment and evolving business priorities.
• Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of line of business planning and project activities.
• Develops executive‑level materials, insights, and communications to support leadership decision making.
• Travels to worksite and other locations as necessary.

Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field and a minimum of 10 years of related experience including prior leadership experience and 3 years of strategic planning; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience in strategy, consulting, or business planning preferred.
• Cross‑functional leadership experience preferred.
• Project management experience preferred.
• Strong executive communication and presentation skills highly preferred.
• Data analysis capabilities preferred.
