Coordinator Role

The Coordinator role will work closely with personnel in the Associate OSW Marine Coordinator roles to support the day-to-day coordination of all offshore vessel activities within the CVOW Pilot and Commercial wind lease areas including the export cable corridor. This will involve the use of site-specific software to monitor and track all personnel and vessel movements within areas of construction and operations.

This position will also collaborate with the Senior OSW Marine Coordinator role in helping to set priorities for the Marine Coordination team as well as make recommendations and help evaluate new procedures and technology that can be applied to the Marine Coordination efforts.

The Coordinator position works in collaboration with other Marine Coordinators, the Supervisor of Offshore Logistics and Dominion Energy's Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) manager to help ensure compliance with all Dominion Energy documented policies and procedures as well as other best marine practices.

The Coordinator position brings documented experience in marine coordination to the role and receives general guidance from the Senior OSW Marine Coordinator and the Supervisor of Offshore Logistics. All Marine Coordinators will maintain 24 x 7 operational coverage that will require shift work. The Coordinator position will adhere to established routine procedures as well as provide input on revisions to safety protocols, the Dominion Energy marine coordination plan and Dominion Energy's Safety Management System (SMS).

The ideal Marine Coordinator will have a positive attitude and be able to work in a fast-paced environment where effective communications and organizational skills will be keys to success. Candidates for this position will have experience leading daily operation briefs as well as experience maintaining schedules for maritime vessels working hly qualified candidates should have experience working in field operations or in a dispatching center.

They will also have a maritime background with experience facilitating offshore vessel activity primarily focusing on the identification and mitigation of risks associated with operating in the offshore environment. All candidates must have a demonstratable history of effective communications and have a solid understanding of basic computer programs.
