Position: EQUIPMENT SPECIALIST with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will Responsible for and assists/supports the management and control of all Navy owned MHE nationwide.
* You will maintain MHE and SMSE pool inventories to service shipboard requirements and maintain limited pool inventory for shore-based regional MHE requirements.
* You will assist NAVSUP-WSS in the issuance of new or overhauled replacement MHE.
* You will assist in identifying a source for with shipboard MHE maintenance training or self-help maintenance and repair program to support the Fleet training and maintenance requirements.
* You will coordinate with NAVSUP-WSS for prior approval for NAVY OPN activities to procure, condemn as excess, swap, exchange or obtain by other means. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current MHE license.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
* You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: [1] Knowledge of operational capabilities and use of a variety of self-propelled MHE (major end-items) with particular emphasis on functional limitations of form, fit and function.

[2] Possess skill in applying this knowledge to complex and difficult assignments such as repair, modification and overhaul of MHE. [3] Knowledge of the Naval Supply Systems and the organizations, policies and procedures related to MHE repair, maintenance, overhaul and disposal process. [4] Knowledge of the Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) and standardized procedures to perform major overhauls using the required processing and inspection requirements, corrosion control procedures and test and inspection criteria for returning equipment into A4 (like new] service condition.

[5] Knowledge of program and inventory management discipline, understanding of procurement, contract administration, provisioning and allowance determination. [6] Knowledge and skills on financial management relevant to property, survey reports, DoD standards for property inventory, and merging Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) standards. [7] Possess leadership and organizational skills with excellent interpersonal communication to be able to communicate both orally and in writing with the ability to represent the division in high level conferences and meetings.

[8] Ability to analyze situations and data to anticipate changing trends as well as implement procedures and policies to achieve management goals and objectives. [9] Knowledge of personal computers and automated supply and maintenance system procedures, techniques, methods and processes being used by the Navy to evaluate, store and retrieve files. [10] Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), MHE - Customer User Requirement & Tracking Information System (MHE - CURTIS) and Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS).
