Duties
- Reviews daily activity and escalates significant incidents,recurring concerns, staffing shortages, or policy issues to the Parking Director.
- Assist the Parking Compliance Officer when shift shortagewithout delay.
- Communicates clear work expectations and assignments to assigned personnel; monitors attendance, conduct, productivity, and service quality; provides timely coaching and constructive feedback; documents supervision and performance matters; assists with interim and annual evaluations by established deadlines;ensures required training is completed; addresses performance orconduct concerns promptly and consistently; and promotes a safe,respectful, and accountable workplace.
- Responds to routine parking inquiries and complaints within twobusiness days and handles each matter professionally, impartially,and in accordance with University policy.
- Assists students, employees, visitors, and departments withpermits, citations, payroll deduction, event requests, and accountissues.
- Coordinates appeal records and committee support, ensuresdecisions are entered and communicated promptly, and preparesaccurate notices, instructions, reports, and correspondence with minimal errors.
- Assists with department purchasing, budget monitoring,receivables, payroll/timekeeping, payroll deduction, permitinventory, and reconciliation processes.
- Verifies supporting documentation before submission; meetsestablished deadlines; safeguards permits, equipment, and accountable items; supports annual publication and distribution ofparking rules and regulations; and prepares required reports withcomplete and accurate data.
- Immediately reports discrepancies and assists with corrective action
- Assists with planning and executing parking and trafficoperations for athletics, conferences, move-in, commencement, andother special events; confirms staffing, equipment, signage,communications, and assignments before the event; coordinates with University Police, event organizers, Facilities, and other partners; responds appropriately to changing conditions; and provides requested after-action information and recommendations.
- Mandatory to work overtime and all special events. The abilityto work evening, nights and some holiday.
- 3–5 years of progressive experience in parking services,transportation, campus operations, public safety, or a related field.
- Supervisory experience
, including hiring, training,scheduling, evaluating performance, and coaching employees. - Experience managing daily parking operations
, includingpermit programs, parking enforcement, and special eventparking. - Experience coordinating large-scale events
, including traffic control, parking logistics, and staffing plans. - Experience handling customer service issues
, appeals,complaints, and conflict resolution professionally. - Experience preparing reports, maintaining records, and analyzing parking data to improve operations.
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
