The OpportunityA 100% employee‑owned general contractor with 47 years of experience and 3,000+ completed projects is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead a $145 million US Army Corps of Engineers project in Minot, North Dakota. This is a temporary, project‑specific role on the Gray Wolf helicopter program, involving aviation infrastructure including helicopter pads, runways, and mission‑critical facilities.
What You’ll DoLead all field operations for this $145M federal construction project, serving as an equal partner with the Project Manager. Manage construction schedules, ensure OSHA and safety compliance, coordinate quality inspections, oversee subcontractor performance, and maintain strong relationships with the US Army Corps of Engineers on‑site team. Chair weekly safety and coordination meetings, complete daily reports, and manage project closeout activities.
What You Must Have- USACE experience within the past 5 years (non‑negotiable)
- Lead Superintendent experience on $70M+ federal construction projects
- 5+ years of federal construction leadership experience
- Site development expertise (utilities, grading, civil infrastructure)
- Strong relationship management skills with government clients
- Proficiency with P6, Procore, Bluebeam, and construction management software
- $100M+ project experience
- Cradle-to-grave USACE project leadership
- Aviation or mission‑critical infrastructure background
- Experience in remote or challenging project locations
- Base Salary: $140K - $150K
- Project Completion Bonus: 20% of base (~$28K - $30K)
- Housing Allowance: $3,346/month (pre‑tax, keep the difference)
- Subsistence Allowance: $2,068/month (pre‑tax, keep the difference)
- PTO: ~4.5 weeks total (3 weeks vacation + 56 hours sick time)
- Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM
