Job SummaryWe are currently seeking a Drill Shaft Caisson Operator to join our Geotechnical Division. The Caisson Operator is responsible for safely setting and operating caisson drill rigs, inspecting machinery and equipment, and working with auger cast drills, micropiles, carrying materials, cleaning the job site, and other job site related functions. They support the entire project team to meet construction deadlines. Work is performed outdoors year‑round at construction sites with various safety hazards inherent in heavy construction.
This is a safety‑sensitive position requiring work on construction sites with various safety hazards and subject to drug testing and compliance policies as a Federal Contractor.
High School Diploma or GED; relevant work experience can substitute.
ExperienceMore than 1 year experience running drill rigs for large diameter caisson work, construction experience, and running equipment helpful.
Special SkillsExperience running drill rigs for caissons.
Responsibilities- Carry, load, or unload materials
- Operate and assist in maintaining drill rigs and related equipment
- Perform minor repairs and service to equipment
- Run other construction equipment such as excavator or skid steer if capable
- Supervise drill rig helpers
- Responsible for safety policies and required to wear PPE
- Valid Driver's License
- Experience in earth work, drilling
- Capable of operating machinery and rigs safely in accordance with company policy
- Excellent verbal communication skills
Regional, primarily VA sites.
Pay$28.00/hr – $38.00/hr (Based on experience and certifications)
