The City of Norfolk’s Department of Public Works is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator I within the Streets & Bridges Division. This position operates and maintains the asphalt plant, designs and tests asphalt blends, and ensures compliance with laws. The role includes performing repairs and maintenance on equipment.
The ideal candidate should have experience in asphalt operations and mechanical skills to assist during weather events. A valid Driver’s License is required, and certification should be obtained within the first year.
