The Virginia Symphony Orchestra invites applications for a tenure-track Second Bassoon position beginning in the season. Live auditions are scheduled for October 20 and 21, 2026, with a September 22, 2026 Final date to receive applications.
The ensemble performs a diverse 36-week season spanning classical, pops, family, ballet, and opera repertoire; a $100 deposit is required by the deadline and is refundable if canceled by October 6, 2026. Applicants must have US work authorization.
