HHR Service Desk Team Member
Schedule: 11 pm - 7:30 am / M-F (rotating weekends)
A Brief OverviewThe Service Desk Team Member serves as a member of a 24 hour service desk team at J-53, NH-156, Camp Allen or Newport News locations. Assists residents with general needs, leasing and placement tasks, move-in, move-out tasks, answers phones and responds to emergencies, as needed.
What You Will Do- Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Assist with referral/placements and move-in/move-out processes.
- Maintain fax machines, assist users, and perform other clerical duties.
- Remind residents of the online work order system; train residents (over the phone) on the online system, as needed.
- Register new residents; assign room numbers, issue room keys.
- Respond to incoming customer work order requests, and input work orders from residents.
- Report customer service related issues to appropriate property management staff, as necessary.
- Coordinate day-to-day customer communication and interact with customers to foster ongoing relationships.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Three to six months of related customer service experience and/or training.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively to customers or employees.
- Proficient in basic arithmetic and applying common sense to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Word processing software;
Internet/Intranet software;
Outlook and E‑mail software systems.
We are committed to offering competitive and equitable compensation. The hiring range for this position is generally between $17.30 per hour, exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for a performance bonus. Final salaries will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, licenses, certifications, and/or experience.
