Full-Time Dental Hygienist
Schedule: Tuesday – Friday (8am–4pm)
Pay: $50 – $55
Location: 5621 Tidewater Dr., Norfolk, VA 23509
We’re looking for a hygienist who:
- Has Dentrix experience or is open to learning.
- Has iTero experience or is excited to expand digital scanning skills.
- Is a new graduate with a local anesthesia license or is obtaining one.
- Appreciates a collaborative, connected team environment.
- Values a fun, hardworking, and welcoming atmosphere.
We provide non‑clinical administrative support to over 3,000 doctors in 1,900+ dental offices across 39 states. Hygienists work as independent medical professionals while receiving robust support from Heartland Dental’s network of mentors and resources.

- Current dental hygienist license in Virginia.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene (where required).
- Excellent working knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, patient screening, and medical history documentation.
- CPR certification.
- Experience using Velscope, Diagnodent, digital scanner, digital x-rays and electronic medical record systems.
- Desire to continue learning and grow clinical skills to meet patient needs and provide preventative care.
- Clinical experience as required by the office.
- Ability to perform essential duties as deemed necessary by the office, doctor or Heartland Dental, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds at times.
- Availability to attend virtual or in‑person training sessions periodically throughout the year.
- New hires in dental office positions must complete a tuberculosis (TB) test as a standard requirement.
