The Pediatric Dentist will provide comprehensive dental care to infants, children, and adolescents, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and preventive care. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing pediatric restorative procedures, managing dental emergencies, collaborating with dental assistants and hygienists, and educating patients and families on oral hygiene and preventive practices. The role involves documenting patient care accurately, maintaining regulatory and infection control standards, and participating in practice-wide quality improvement initiatives.

The Pediatric Dentist will also communicate clearly and compassionately with children and caregivers to ensure a positive experience and encourage ongoing care. This is an on-site role located in Hampton, VA.

• Strong foundation in Medicine and Dentistry, with the ability to integrate general health considerations into dental treatment plans.
• Clinical proficiency in Pediatric Dentistry, including preventive care, behavior management, and treatment of common pediatric dental conditions.
• Experience or training in Oral Surgery relevant to pediatric patients, such as extractions and minor surgical procedures.
• Demonstrated capability in comprehensive Dental Care, including diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative procedures, and ongoing patient management.
• Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from an accredited institution; completion of a pediatric dentistry residency strongly preferred.
• Valid state dental license (or eligibility for licensure in Virginia) and appropriate specialty certifications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, caregivers, and a multidisciplinary dental team.
• Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and adherence to ethical and regulatory standards.
• Willingness to participate in continuing education and stay current with advances in pediatric dentistry and dental technology.
