Associate or Full Professor of Trustworthy AI in Cybersecurity (Tenure Track/Tenured, F0853A)

The School of Cybersecurity at Old Dominion University invites applicants for a 10‑month tenure‑track/tenured Associate or Full Professor to begin July 25, 2026 as part of a multi‑position hiring initiative focused on Trustworthy AI.

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and supervise student research.
• Develop and lead a research cluster in Trustworthy AI, emphasizing security, safety, and privacy of AI systems.
• Collaborate with faculty across the School of Cybersecurity, Department of Computer Science, and Department of Sociology & Criminal Justice.
• Secure external funding and manage interdisciplinary research projects.
• Provide leadership in curriculum development and program assessment.

• A Ph.D. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a field closely related to Cybersecurity.
• Strong record of research in Trustworthy AI with peer‑reviewed publications and a sustained stream of externally funded multidisciplinary research.
• Experience teaching at undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary settings.
• Vision and plan for establishing and sustaining an externally funded research program through interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Substantial expertise in Trustworthy AI scholarship.
• Clear vision for an interdisciplinary research program within the cluster.
• Evidence of successful grant funding and collaborative projects.
