Job Duties

Norfolk State University (NSU), through exemplary teaching, scholarship and outreach, transforms lives and communities by empowering individuals to maximize their potential, creating life-long learners equipped to be engaged leaders and productive global citizens. NSU's Department of Chemistry seeks applicants for the position of Adjunct Professor – Chemistry. Adjunct Chemistry Professors teach General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry lectures and laboratory courses. Adjunct Faculty responsibilities include teaching one or more of the following:
1. General Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses
2. Organic Chemistry lecture and/or laboratory courses Successful candidates will instruct, hold office hours and assist with assessment of the course(s) as part of the Chemistry program annual evaluation.
