Adjunct Pool for World History
The Department of History & Interdisciplinary Studies at Norfolk State University seeks applications for adjunct professors of World History. The successful candidate will:
- Teach on-campus undergraduate courses in World History
- Engage in exemplary face-to-face and use the university's learning management system (Blackboard Ultra)
- Collegially engage with students, staff and other faculty members
- Meet university deadlines for submitting grades and other reports
Minimum qualifications include:
- Demonstrate a strong potential to effectively teach World History
- Demonstrate potential to effectively use an online learning management system (Blackboard Ultra or similar)
- Demonstrate commitment to excellence in teaching
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, personal integrity and a demonstrated commitment to diversity
Additional considerations include:
- Experience teaching World History in higher education
- Possess a PhD in History with extensive graduate coursework in World History
