Diesel Engine Inspector Contractor Instructor (DEI CI)

Prevailance is seeking a dedicated and experienced Diesel Engine Inspector Contractor Instructor to support the Surface Warfare Schools Command (SWSC). This role involves delivering high‑quality technical and military training to Department of Defense (DOD) personnel, including Navy and Allied Forces officers and enlisted personnel temporarily assigned for training.

• Provide instruction, testing, remediation, and curriculum support, including updates and maintenance of course materials.
• Operate and maintain training equipment, training aids, and lab tools.
• Ensure the safe delivery of training content and oversee compliance with safety standards.
• Facilitate learning using principles, methods, and practices for effective content delivery, testing, and remediation.

• Graduate of the Navy Instructor Training Course (CIN: A-012-0077) (NEC 9502) or equivalent instructor training course.

• Minimum of three (3) years of technical experience in diesel engine inspection processes.
• At least two (2) years of experience in a Military Training Environment.
• Former senior (E7 – E9) Engineman (EN) or Machinist’s Mate (MM) with shipboard experience within these ratings.

• Graduate of:
  • Diesel Engine Core (A-652-0320)
  • Diesel Engine Inspector Course (A-652-0311)

• Comprehensive knowledge of diesel engine inspection processes and safety protocols.
• Certified as an instructor in the Diesel Engine Inspector functional area.
• Familiarity with training aids, electronic podiums, technical training equipment (TTE), and associated maintenance procedures.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Must be able to obtain a favorable background clearance.
