Part-Time Extended Day Associates, PRK-8
The Williams School, PRK-8, offers before and after school care for working families and we are looking for eager, dynamic, and responsible staff to help us with this program.
The primary responsibilities of this position include:
- Assist the Aftercare Supervisor in delivering a program that is consistent with the school’s mission and meets state regulations pertaining to child care and extended day centers.
- Provide an environment for that ensures students are happy, healthy and actively engaged before and after the school day has ended.
- Two shifts are available for qualified personnel (early morning from 7:00-8:00 a.m. and afternoon from 3:00-6:00 p.m.) Additional opportunities during summer camp (June-August) are also available for the most dedicated and consistent of staff members.
- Plan and facilitate after school enrichment activities for students.
- Communicate effectively with students’ families and preschool faculty regarding program details and individual student needs.
- Ensure the accurate tracking of student attendance for billing purposes.

The ideal candidate will have:
- A love of working with children (preschool ages 3 and
4) and/or grades K-8. - A minimum of 2 years experience working as a teacher or caregiver in an extended day or after school program or summer program is preferred, but training and support are provided for stellar candidates.
- A clear understanding of best practices in supervising and caring for children.
- The skills and experience to effectively manage student needs.
- Work actively to perpetuate an inclusive learning environment and support a school community grounded in empathy, social responsibility, and appreciate and respect for individual differences.
- A bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred, but not required.
Extended Day Staff Pay: $15.00 hourly
