Position: Estimator (Job ID: 4004)

• Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate need for a Estimator in our Norfolk, Virginia locations and base of operations.

Job Description:

• Review project plans and specifications to determine the scope of work.
• Gather data on labor costs, materials, and other expenditures.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to assess risks and potential financial impacts.
• Analyze historical data to improve accuracy of future estimates.
• Provide recommendations for cost-saving measures and efficiency improvements.
• Prepare and present cost reports to stakeholders and management.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations that may affect project costs.

Qualifications:

Must have strong analytical and mathematical skills.

• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
• Must have the ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
• Must have Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.

Desired

Qualifications:

• Prefer to have the ability to obtain a passport.

Security Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance to access military facilities, naval shipyards, private shipyards, and naval installations.
• Must possess or be able to obtain a secret security clearance.

Travel Requirements:

• Minimum level of travel required: 5%
• If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL . Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to effectively operate day to day duties on computer and office work on a light duty workload.
