Provide Dell/EMC Vxrail engineering design and architecture support for the NIPR ISN Installations and Tech Refreshes into new physical and virtual data center locations.
Provide Dell/EMC VxRail engineering design and architecture support for the NIPR ISN Installations and Tech Refreshes into new physical and virtual data center locations.
Systems to be supported include, but are not limited to, VMware, Dell VXRail, Commvault, Dell Avamar.
Evaluate existing architecture and site-specific data center services to determine change requirements at each location.
Support in all aspects of the creation and incorporation of architecture and design best practices
Evaluate software (SW), licensing and material requirements to determine Task Requirements Notice (TRN), statement of requirements (SOR), and SOW requirements.
Provide architecture design and review, 1067 or Change Request (CRQ) input, contribute to integration and implementation efforts
Generate and test TCTOs to implement changes at all SCE sites.
Obtain and perform training on all new features and capabilities provided by new software upgrades or hardware technical refreshments
Work with other SME’s and Operators to perform root cause analysis on enterprise-wide deficiencies
Implement changes to prevent future downtime of Hardware assets
Utilize proper processes to plan maintenance and support implementation of lifecycle management activities. DELL STORAGE PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
As a minimum, a Bachelor of Science degree in an IT related field and five years of experience in storage area network engineering; or possess nine years of experience in storage area network engineering. Three years of this experience should be directly related to VMware virtualization and EMC storage and/or storage networking hardware and related software technologies. At least two years of this experience, directly related to AF cyberspace operations.
All qualifying experience must have been within the ten years immediately preceding the date of the start of employment under this task order.
Experience with all aspects of the data center production environment including knowledge of VMware virtualization technologies, storage management, capacity planning, performance management, systems automation, facility management, asset management, problem management, change management, backup and recovery, archiving, business continuity planning, availability management and the integration and co-existence of these technology categories.
At least 2 years deploying, configuring and managing Dell EMC backup and recovery Enterprise solution.
Possess a current Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level II or Information Assurance Manager (IAM) level I certification in accordance with (IAW) DoD 8570.01-M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program at contract start date and maintain certifications throughout life of the contract at contractor's expense.
Must obtain or possess Dell VxRail Operate 2023 or higher (we could potentially look at sponsoring you for this if offered)
Desired: EMC Proven Professional Expert (EMCEE), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Data Center, Dell Information Storage and Management v5 or similar
