In our Team, you will provide various types of support to the Navy Modernization Process. This team has been recognized by the Navy for their outstanding contributions to the contract and program. The mission of the Navy Modernization Process (NMP) is to provide a disciplined process to deliver operational and technical modifications to the U.S. Naval Fleet in the most effective and cost-efficient way.

This process defines a standard methodology to plan, budget, engineer, and install timely, effective, and affordable shipboard improvements while maintaining Configuration Management (CM) and supportability. SEA 21 provides wholeness to the fleet by serving as the primary technical interface, ensuring surface ships are modernized with the latest technologies and remain mission relevant throughout each ship's service life. The Navy Configuration Program Analyst supports the planning, coordination, and execution of ship modernization initiatives in alignment with the Navy Modernization Process Management and Operations Manual (NMP-MOM).

This role ensures compliance with established governance, configuration management, and modernization milestones to deliver operational improvements efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess an ability towards understanding the Navy Modernization Process principles and documents to provide both the technical approval and execution perspective, ensuring SEA 21 attains its goal of assessing life-cycle sustainment cost and performance of Combat Systems, C5I, and HM&E systems, establishing a comprehensive program management framework, and ensuring government accountability for sustainment efforts.

In this role, you will:
* Support the review, and refinement of the Ship Change Document (SCD) per the Navy Modernization Process (NMP) utilizing the Navy Data Environment (NDE) website.
* Prepare and update modernization reference materials and process tracking templates to reflect current policy and procedural guidance.
* Ensure modernization tracking practices align with Navy Modernization Process Management and Operation(NMP-MOM) standards and Navy governance boards.
* Facilitate milestone tracking and reporting for modernization schedules and deliverables.
* Collaborate with engineering teams to validate technical requirements and integration plans.
* Coordinate with Fleet and Program Offices to ensure timely approvals and execution and consistent application of modernization procedures
* Prepare briefing materials and reports for leadership decision-making.

Prepares reports, presentations, and metrics summarizing modernization process performance and improvement initiatives.

Provide programmatic management and planning support services for SEA 21 as directed. To be successful in the role, you will have:
* Active DoD Secret security clearance.
* U.S Citizenship Required.
* High School diploma.
* 5+ years of relevant experience is required.
* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to senior Navy leaders.
* Strong attention to detail, adherence to standards, and continuous improvement mindset.
* Familiarity with data sources and systems commonly used in the naval modernization environment.
* Advanced competency with Microsoft Office suite of tools (i.e., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
* The ability to travel up to 10%. Additional desired experience and skills:
* Knowledge/experience with ship Navy Maintenance, Modernization.
* Proficiency in leveraging data to support decision-making processes and drive operational improvements.
* Knowledge of NMP-MOM processes, SCD types, and Navy governance structure.
