Marine Coordinator

Our client is seeking Marine Coordinators to work onshore supporting their efforts on a major US offshore windfarm. Candidates must be local to the Norfolk area and must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship. This is a W2 contract position.
Responsibilities:- Monitor the vessel activities and traffic within the offshore site and export cable corridors and monitor both project and non-project vessels as well as mark areas where actions will be triggered
- Liaise with the client and client's contractors
- Monitor compliance with required training and inductions, alerting the project team if there is a discrepancy
- Responsible for responding to any medical emergency offshore following proper protocol
- Track vessel fuel use and run time for each onboard engine as soon as a project vessel enters the project boundary
- Monitor established project safety zones for intrusion by non-project vessels
- Support the project team in collecting and authorizing permit to work applications
- Offshore marine background preferred
- Understanding the fundamentals of the maritime and shipping industries
- Certificate of competency of nautical watch officer desirable but not required
- Preference of radio operator experience (GOC, ROC, LRC or SRC)
- TWIC card (or eligibility and willingness to obtain)
