Project Planner

As we continue to elevate our capabilities and global presence, we are seeking a Project Planner – Proposal Support to join a dynamic third‑party engineering team at their state‑of‑the‑art manufacturing facility in Norfolk.

• Work with the wider Engineering team to develop project plans for third‑party engineering opportunities, from initial concept through to handover to PMO once projects go live.
• Support the development of high‑quality third‑party Engineering proposals to help win business for Lotus Engineering clients worldwide.
• Ensure consistency across project plans and proposals spanning a wide range of project types.
• Collaborate closely with PMO and Engineering teams on planning and proposal creation, supporting progression towards a project planning or project management role.
• Administer and maintain the CRM tool, updating and tracking opportunities throughout the proposal lifecycle.
• Gain exposure to client relationships, supporting potential future development into a sales‑focused role.

• Project Planning – work with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to compile, develop, and complete activity and resource plans using MS Project and SAP.
• Support proposal resourcing requirements and costings through accurate planning.
• Ensure project plans align with task scope, resource availability, and timing requirements.
• Proposal Development – compile proposals either from a clean‑sheet approach or by refining inputs from technical teams.
• Ensure consistency across technical inputs, project plans, and overarching proposal requirements.
• Confirm proposal assumptions, terms and conditions, and commercial/financial elements align with company policy and client communications.
• Coordinate proposal approvals through company BPM systems.

• General automotive or engineering awareness.
• Experience or exposure to project planning and/or technical documentation.
• Confident, outgoing approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Proficiency with MS Power BI.

• Degree or HNC in Engineering.
• Experience in proposal or bid preparation.
