SEACORP is seeking a Project Manager to lead engineering and technical support initiatives for legacy naval navigation systems. The Project Manager is responsible for the localized planning, direction, and execution of tasks involving established navigation architectures. This role focuses on ensuring continued operational availability for surface and submarine platforms through in-service engineering support, field change development, and technical refreshes of existing shipboard equipment.
Responsibilities- Task Management:
Provide direct oversight of engineering projects focused on the sustainment and modernization of legacy navigation systems. - Resource Coordination:
Allocate technical staff and specialized engineering equipment to meet specific task milestones and project deadlines. - Technical Oversight:
Supervise the development of field changes and technical documentation required for the maintenance of existing Navy navigation equipment. - Stakeholder Communication:
Act as the primary technical point of contact for Government customers regarding project status, technical issues, and system maintenance. - Risk Tracking:
Identify and mitigate risks related to engineering and program support activities, including component aging and system obsolescence. - Compliance and Quality:
Ensure all engineering analysis and hardware modifications conform to original system performance specifications and naval standards. - Reporting:
Prepare detailed project reports and correspondence regarding technical activities, schedules, and budgets.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any technical or managerial discipline.
Experience:
- Project Manager I: 5 years of professional experience in project management.
- Project Manager II: 10 years of professional experience in project management.
- Project Manager III: 15 years of professional experience in project management.
Required
Skills and Experience:
- Technical Programs/Projects such as Equipment Support, System Support, and Programmatic Support.
- At least eight (8) years of Program Management experience, to include:
Technology Assessments, Systems Design, Systems Analysis, Programmatic Support, Acquisition Planning, and Budget. - Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and DoD procurement policies and N6523625R3001 Attachment 19 procedures.
- Five (5) years as manager of In-Service-Engineering-Agent (ISEA) type support for maritime PNT systems or similar systems.
