Duties
* You will develop, maintain, and implement program/class life-cycle logistics sustainment plans (LCSP) and contractual requirements for Government-owned ships.
* You will ensure material readiness for assigned ships by monitoring, and tracking high-priority requirements to repair inoperable or degraded equipment.
* You will review, validate and update End Item provisioning documentation through technical reviews and Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) collaboration, to support vessel maintenance requirements.
* You will identify root causes/impacts of delays or other problems and risk mitigating strategies and solutions.
* You will identify and initiate process changes when standard objectives are not met.
* You will develop, justify, and execute budget authority for all assigned classes of ships and expenditure types. Requirements Conditions of employment

* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time. Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience maintaining and implementing program/class life-cycle logistics sustainment plans (LCSP) and contractual requirements for Government-owned ships managed under both Government-operated or Contract-operated business models. Evaluate plans across program management, class management/project office, and contract operation for and provision of logistics support for feasibility, innovation, standardization, efficiency, economy, and to develop alternatives when required. Experience in material readiness for assigned ships by monitoring and tracking high priority requirements to repair inoperable or degraded equipment (e.g. casualty repairs, obsolete parts, stock replenishment requirements, and planning for the phased replacement/ upgrade of ships equipment and equipage).
Experience in implementing all ship repair, equipment alteration/procurement, and ship operating/maintenance contracts. Incumbent/staff participates as technical logistics experts on multi-functional source selection panels. Ensures ILS elements (including IUID) are delivered, accepted, and implemented to support equipment installation/maintenance. Experience in monitoring and assesses performance measures, logistics readiness, and contract compliance of contract operators, shipyards, vendors, support contractors, and shipboard staff in the execution of ILS, supply management, and configuration data management processes ensuring that performance standards/contract requirements are met and regulations are complied with.
