Senior Project Controls Engineer
GDIT is seeking an experienced Project Controls Engineer to lead development and management of the program master schedule for a large complex program under US Strategic Command. The role includes cost & schedule integration aligned with contractual scope and day‑to‑day performance oversight of scope, schedule, cost, and risk.
Responsibilities- Schedule Management: establish and maintain the overall schedule baseline and Integrated Master Schedule (IMS); collaborate with program schedulers; contribute to deliverable/CDRL submission performance.
- Cost Management: assist with development and maintenance of the overall cost baseline through the IMS; generate completion forecast estimates; collaborate with the program financial analyst for cost performance management, analysis, and reporting.
- Risk Management:
collaborate with the risk team to maintain risk register and program management reserves. - PMO Management: communicate & collaborate with local and corporate functional managers; manage program proposals and pricing initiatives.
- Program Excellence: manage customer and supplier relationships, technical execution, schedule, risk, quality, and financial performance; implement return‑to‑green plans; promote technology insertion and continuous improvement.
- Team Culture: build a culture consistent with GDIT values; engage employees; foster diversity and inclusion.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
- 4+ years of project controls / project management experience in similar size & complexity programs.
- Hands‑on experience managing program scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality.
- Business‑management acumen with a proactive approach to financial and performance metrics.
- Familiarity with EVMS and Six Sigma principles.
- Leadership and communication skills for employee engagement and professional development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or Primavera P6 with full schedule logic and resource loading.
- U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Preferred: proficiency with Power BI, Excel Power Query, and macros.
Salary range: $83,927 - $113,549 (dependent on experience, location, and contractual requirements).
Other Requirements- Scheduled weekly hours: 40.
