Position: SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER / ARCHITECT with Security Clearance
Duties
* You will evaluate workload, critical project priorities, and deadlines to schedule and assign the work.
* You will serve as a principle professional and technical advisor for facilities engineering services and management.
* You will analyze the production and validate metrics based on actual production and associated expenses.
* You will review concept designs and develop program requirements in support of both full designs of Design Bid Build and Design Build Request for Proposal.
* You will ensure all facilities engineering services are effective, efficient, and accomplished within performance criteria.
* You will capture lessons learned and develop process improvements.
* You will track Design-In-Place accrual and Budget Allocation expenditures compared to projections to ensure the appropriate acquisition strategies are being met.
* You will provide advice and recommendations concerning architectural and engineering methods and systems as necessary to develop and coordinate projects for design, repair, rehabilitation, installation, or demolition. Requirements Conditions of employment

* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver's license.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain a current Professional Engineer or Registered Architect license.
* You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
* This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the

Functional Area

and Tier assigned to the position, along with Continuous Learning (CL) points, are required within established time frames.
* You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
* This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
* Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR . Qualifications This position has a selective placement factor which will be used to screen out ineligible candidates. The selective placement factor is:
Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or Registered Architect (RA) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector.

Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Developing designs, plans, specifications, and cost estimates for engineering projects of various sizes and complexity;
2) Reviewing designs by consultants and in-house staff to determine accuracy, compliance, and safety;
3) Providing supervision, technical input, and direction for complex projects concerning facilities planning, design, construction, and maintenance;
4) Coordinating with high level officials on program and financial management issues; AND
5) Implementing performance control and achievement monitoring to area of responsibility.
