The City of Norfolk’s Department of Public Works is hiring an Asphalt Plant Operator I to operate and maintain the asphalt plant within the Streets & Bridges Division. This role involves mixing and testing asphalt blends, performing repairs, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Candidates should have two years of experience or be certified. A valid driver’s license is required. Work hours are Monday – Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week.
