A.I.S., Inc. (AIS) is recruiting Protected Species Observers (PSO) to deploy on a vessel conducting geophysical survey operations off the coast of Virginia. PSOs will record protected species sightings and mitigation actions, with shifts around the clock and 8–12 hour workdays.
Position starts July 23, 2026 for an estimated 4–6 weeks. Qualifications include NMFS PSO approval, BST/GWO/BOSIET or equivalent, CPR/First Aid, and 30+ days at-sea observed monitoring of marine mammals.
