  • Work with construction contractors and designers to resolve field problems and latent conditions that arise during construction.
  • Recommend appropriate corrective and preventative measures.
  • Help ensure changes involving cost, quantity, scope, schedule, design, or other contract terms and conditions are properly coordinated or approved.
  • Apply engineering judgment across projects involving varied construction methods, geotechnical criteria, seismic activity, climatic conditions, code requirements, cost estimating, and complex coordination requirements.
  • Analyze geotechnical data and apply professional experience to evaluate and predict foundation shear strength and settlement potential for encountered materials.
  • Determine appropriate soil testing parameters for structural foundation design.
  • Conduct field visits to project sites for scoping, design, and construction evaluations.
  • Inspect existing soil and foundation conditions to identify potential problems and recommend corrective measures.
  • Interface with customers and other stakeholders to provide technical consultation and gather information needed for project scoping, design, failure analysis, and development of remedial measures.
