Description- Develops and maintains cost- and resource-loaded CPM schedules per owner requirements and company standards.
- Applies resource leveling and crew logic to construction planning, adjusting as project conditions evolve.
- Creates baseline and monthly schedule narratives to support and explains the CPM schedule.
- Leads time impact and delay analyses for claims and schedule-related disputes.
- Monitors schedule progress and communicate deviations affecting project completion to the project team.
- Coordinates with engineering to gather data for schedule updates and activity progression.
- Conducts daily site visits to verify work status, maintain progress photos, and reviews quantity books for percent complete.
- Updates CPM logic based on verbal direction regarding changes in sequencing or crew assignments.
- Develops and maintains 5-week look-ahead schedules with input from project managers and superintendents.
- Ensures alignment between short-term plans and CPM schedule, and communicates impacts of discrepancies.
- Prepares schedule reports, trending charts, and performance analyses; supports planning meetings with critical path and look-ahead reports.
- Provides accurate projections for revenue, cost, labor, materials, and equipment; ensures schedule credibility and integrity.
- Guides construction planning and decision-making, manages junior schedulers as needed, and documents lessons learned post-project.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree
Employment Conditions- 5 years of experience in heavy civil construction project management
- HCSS, Agtek and Primavera P6 experience preferred
- Scheduling experience required
- 10 years of engineering experience in heavy civil construction
