The selected candidate will support the lifecycle logistics needs of Coast Guard small boats by researching repair and replacement parts, maintaining technical and configuration information, supporting spare-parts allowances, developing depot-level repair specifications, creating technical work items, and coordinating logistics information with engineering, maintenance, supply, and product-line stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have experience in Coast Guard or Navy logistics, ship or small-boat maintenance, depot-level repair, specification writing, Federal supply systems, configuration management, or integrated logistics support.
Primary Responsibilities Supply and Parts Research Conduct detailed research for repair and replacement parts using Government and commercial supply sources.
Research part numbers, National Stock Numbers, manufacturers, substitutes, sources of supply, configuration applicability, and logistics characteristics.
Use Federal Government Logistics Information System, FEDLOG, NESSS, AMMIS, and other applicable Federal supply databases.
Research availability of parts through the Coast Guard Supply System, National Supply System, and commercial marketplace.
Validate logistics and supply information before incorporation into technical products.
Support resolution of obsolete, unavailable, incorrect, or superseded repair parts.
Spare Parts and Allowance Support Analyze maintenance and operational requirements to support organizational-level spare-parts recommendations.
Recommend allowances for deployed and garrison operating environments.
Review repair history, equipment configuration, demand data, and technical requirements when supporting allowance recommendations.
Coordinate supply requirements with engineering, maintenance, and Product Line stakeholders.
Configuration Management Support maintenance of accurate configuration information for Coast Guard small boats and installed systems.
Use Coast Guard technical repositories and logistics systems to research and update configuration information.
Support ACMS-related configuration-development activities.
Ensure technical products correspond to the correct asset, equipment, configuration, and allowance information.
Identify configuration discrepancies and coordinate corrective information with appropriate Government stakeholders.
Illustrated Parts Breakdown Support Develop or provide technical inputs supporting Illustrated Parts Breakdowns.
Prepare properly formatted photographs or illustrations as required.
Provide configuration and logistics information supporting IPB development.
Ensure IPB information aligns with ACMS configuration and approved allowance-list items.
Prepare material for submission to the SFLC Technical Library.
Depot-Level Repair Specification Development Develop and modify Coast Guard repair specifications supporting Small Boat Product Line maintenance and availability requirements.
Support development of contract and dry-dock repair specifications.
Translate engineering and maintenance requirements into clear specification language.
Develop specification work items using applicable Government formats and standards.
Support development of flat-file work items across applicable Coast Guard asset lines.
Review technical comments, Government feedback, and lessons learned and incorporate approved changes into repair specifications.
Maintain consistency between technical requirements, configuration information, maintenance requirements, and repair specification content.
Contract Workbook and IDIQ Support Review Contract Workbook Database feedback.
Support updates, corrections, and revisions to applicable IDIQ technical content.
Maintain repair work-item information based on Government feedback and approved technical changes.
Process customer feedback in accordance with applicable Coast Guard processes, including the CG Form 22 process.
