Ppe Duties
You will serve as the PPE for assigned vessels, including those powered by steam and/or diesel and/or gas turbines, and include responsibility for the life cycle management of those ships.
You will manage the ships Life Cycle Plan by reviewing, planning, and coordinating the maintenance, repair, and alteration activities requiring industrial assistance for assigned ships.
You will approve plans, work items, and cost estimates for maintenance and repair and ship alteration work for assigned ships.
You will review all technical reports, submittals, and documentation submitted by other engineers, regulatory bodies, design engineers, shipyards.
You will review recommended equipment for all configuration changes to verify ease of maintainability, cost of maintainability, suitability, and effectiveness of logistics support.
You will review applicable current and proposed quality and safety management system procedures for accuracy and applicability to assigned ships.
