SUMMARY:

WR has an opportunity for a Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) Programmer to perform non-routine and complex technical assignments involving the planning and execution of a complete project of relatively limited scope or a portion of a larger, more complex project. The FPGA Programmer will select and adapt plans, techniques, designs, and layouts; collaborate with personnel across related technical activities to resolve problems and coordinate work;

and review, analyze, and integrate the technical work of others. Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Designs, develops, and constructs major units, devices, or equipment; conducts tests and experiments; analyzes results; and redesigns or modifies equipment to improve performance. Develops designs for equipment involving complex or difficult-to-satisfy performance requirements. Analyzes technical data to determine applicability to design problems; evaluates possible design layouts; calculates design data; and prepares layouts, detailed specifications, parts lists, estimates, procedures, and related technical documentation.

Plans or assists in planning tests to evaluate equipment performance. Supports troubleshooting, testing, integration, and evaluation of hardware and associated systems. Collaborates with engineering and technical personnel to resolve design, integration, and performance issues. Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Eight (8)+ years of full-time professional, hands-on experience in the installation, troubleshooting, repair, and/or testing of major systems. The selected candidate will be required to pass a pre-employment third-party background check which may include verification of any of the following:

Other records or information related to the candidate’s suitability for the position. Position Salary Range: $88,000 - $129,000. The listed salary range represents the typical range for this position. WR bases the offered salary on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual candidate qualifications, such as education, experience, knowledge, and skills, scope and responsibilities of the position, and market and business considerations.
