Job Description & How to Apply Below

Mechanical Engineer Design the systems that power complex buildings

You’ll take mechanical/HVAC concepts and turn them into buildable, high-performing systems in Revit for some of the most demanding building types.

From healthcare and education to mission-critical, science & technology, government, commercial, and residential projects, you’ll help create environments that actually work for the people inside them.

You won’t be a CAD jockey in a corner.

You’ll collaborate directly with engineers, architects, and multidisciplinary teams, shaping mechanical designs from early layout through final construction documents. If you live in Revit, understand how HVAC really works in buildings, and want your drawings to stand up in the field, we want to talk to you.

What You'll Work On

You’ll be hands-on with real building systems, from first pass to final sheet set:

  • Mechanical and HVAC systems for healthcare facilities
  • Mechanical and HVAC systems for education and institutional buildings
  • Government and mission-critical building projects
  • Science and technology facilities
  • Commercial office, mixed-use, and retail spaces
  • Residential and multi-family developments
  • Energy-efficient, sustainable building system solutions
  • Construction document and design drawing packages in Revit

You’ll be using Revit MEP and AutoCAD to turn mechanical design intent into coordinated, constructible documents.

Your core challenge: translate sound mechanical design principles into clear, clash-free, code-compliant drawings that contractors trust.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Developing mechanical and HVAC designs in Revit MEP from concept through completion
  • Producing detailed construction documents and mechanical design drawings
  • Selecting and coordinating HVAC equipment in line with project requirements
  • Applying mechanical design principles to real-world building system layouts
  • Incorporating applicable building codes and industry standards into your designs
  • Collaborating closely with mechanical engineers on system design and layouts
  • Coordinating with architects and multidisciplinary project teams
  • Translating markups, redlines, and design changes into accurate Revit models
  • Supporting development of energy-efficient and sustainable mechanical solutions
  • Solving design and coordination issues with strong analytical thinking
  • Communicating design intent clearly to internal teams
  • Contributing to quality, consistency, and clarity across project documentation
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of mechanical or HVAC design/engineering experience
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP
  • Experience with AutoCAD
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment selection, and mechanical design principles
  • Experience developing construction documents and design drawings
  • Familiarity with relevant building codes and industry standards
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, architects, and project teams
  • EIT certification or PE license a plus
  • Experience with healthcare, commercial, mission-critical, or other complex building projects a plus
The Experience That Will Really Get Our Attention

You’ve already taken mechanical or HVAC designs from redlines and sketches to clean, coordinated Revit models and sheet sets, and you care about how those systems actually perform once built. You know your way around building codes, HVAC equipment, and mechanical layouts, and you’re comfortable working side by side with engineers and architects.

If you’ve seen the inside of a complex building project—healthcare, commercial, mission-critical, or similar—and can talk through the mechanical systems and what made them challenging, you’ll stand out.
