Marine Surveyor - SME; U.S. Citizens and Federal
This position is located in the Ready Reserve Force Recapitalization Program. The employee is responsible for commercial marine surveying, shipboard engineering officer services, or shipyard management such as providing guidance on maintenance and repair functions, policy and procedures, compliance with regulatory requirements, instructions, and standards governing the conduct of conditions surveys, inspections, dry dockings, dock trials, and sea trials.
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must meet the specialized experience requirements. To qualify for the Grade 13, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-12, it must include:
Experience maintaining and repairing ocean-going vessels, surveying, and inspecting such vessels for the purpose of classification appraisal, determinations of general conditions, and fitness for operations. Experience in commercial marine surveying, shipboard engineering officer services, or shipyard management such as providing guidance on maintenance and repair functions, policy and procedures, compliance with regulatory requirements, instructions, and standards governing the conduct of conditions surveys, inspections, dry dockings, doc trials, and sea trials.
