Old Dominion University is hiring a Budget Analyst to assist with managing, analyzing, and reporting on the University's personnel and operating budgets. The role includes providing general office support to the Office of Budget and Financial Planning and helping with daily transactional workloads as needed.
Highlights- Manage, analyze, and report on personnel and operating budgets.
- Provide office support to the Office of Budget and Financial Planning.
- Assist with daily transactional workload.
- Requires considerable knowledge of financial policies, GAAP, and customer service techniques.
- Must have proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and other database/spreadsheet programs.
- Experience with automated financial systems like Banner, Cognos, Cardinal, or VA Performance Budgeting System preferred.
- Strong skills in assembling and analyzing large data sets for financial reporting.
- Working experience in accounting or finance, including data preparation and reconciliation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills for interaction with management and external agencies.
- Salary is commensurate with education and experience; position requires completion of a criminal background check.
