Our client is a fortune 500 company with offices near Norfolk, VA. They are seeking to hire a Senior Accountant. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join a company in a step up position as the Senior Accountant will be supervising staff (direct reports) and given an Accounting Manager role within 2 months. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 4 years of public or corporate accounting experience and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.

- Prepare financial statement
- Analyze financial variances against budget and forecast
- Prepare and present financial forecasts monthly
- Conduct strategic analysis for leadership
- Participate in annual budgeting and financial planning processes
- Train staff on internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial statement interpretation
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 2 to 4 years of corporate or public accounting experience
